Chickabiddy
Privacy policy
Chickabiddy is a baby-tracking app for iPhone. This policy covers the app and this website. Care records stay on your devices and in your iCloud. They are not sent to a server operated by the developer.
Care records
A caregiver can keep a record of everyday care. That record can include:
- Feeds, including nursing
- Diapers
- Sleep
- Growth
- Health
- Baths
- Notes, memories and photos
- Supplies, and a low-stock reminder if you turn one on
- Which caregiver logged an entry
Home Screen widgets show shortcuts and details that are already in the app on your device.
Where records are stored
Records are stored on your device and in your iCloud account using CloudKit. iCloud syncs them between your Apple devices. Chickabiddy does not run a server that receives the care record, the photos, or the notes.
iCloud and CloudKit are Apple services. Apple’s privacy policy describes how Apple handles iCloud data: Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Sharing with people you invite
A care record is private unless you share it. You choose whom to invite, including family, and you can give view-only access. Invited people see the shared record on their own Apple IDs, including photos and who logged each moment, within the access you give them.
Chickabiddy does not have its own account system. The record is kept with your Apple ID’s iCloud.
What Chickabiddy does not do
- The app does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- The app does not show advertising.
- The app does not include third-party analytics.
- The app does not sell personal information.
- The developer does not receive your care records.
Chickabiddy Plus
Chickabiddy Plus is an auto-renewable subscription with a 2-week free trial. Apple charges your Apple ID. Chickabiddy does not receive your payment card number. Apple tells the app whether Chickabiddy Plus is active, so the app can provide the subscription. The price and the billing period are shown before you subscribe.
Subscription terms are in the terms of use. Cancelling is covered on the support page.
This website
This website is static. It does not ask for an account. It has no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics.
If you choose Light or Dark, that appearance choice is saved in local storage in your browser. If you choose System, the saved choice is removed. The choice is only used to show the site. It is not used to identify you.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Delivering the pages can create ordinary connection logs, such as IP address, time and browser type. Chickabiddy does not use those logs for advertising, tracking, or analytics.
If you join the launch waitlist, your email address is stored in Cloudflare D1 and used only to tell you when Chickabiddy launches. It is never sold. The form loads Cloudflare Turnstile so automated signups can be rejected. To have the address deleted, email support@chickabiddy.app.
Children
Chickabiddy is for parents and caregivers. A caregiver may enter information about a baby, including photos. That information stays on the caregiver’s devices and in the caregiver’s iCloud, and with people the caregiver invites. A child does not open a Chickabiddy account with the developer, and the developer does not collect the child’s information onto its own server.
How long records stay
Chickabiddy has no separate copy to keep or delete. Removing the app from a device removes that device’s copy. Records that have synced remain in your iCloud account until you delete them from iCloud. People you invited can see a shared record until you stop sharing or remove their access.
Changes
When this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
